Meta Noisia is an online space where classical musicians come to explore the process of improvisation.
Using moving images, embedded ambient soundscapes, and modal scales, players will have fun expressing themselves while developing their own unique voice as an improvisor.
In the video section there are a series of short films with embedded ambient soundscapes and a named modal scale.
The idea is to respond to movement in the video and for the motion within the frame to stimulate musical gesture.
If you are unfamiliar with the concept of modes, here is a link that provides a detailed description with some historic background: https://online.berklee.edu/takenote/music-modes-major-and-minor/
